Matter Management is an architecture firm originally founded by JUAN AZULAY and ROGER PAEZ i BLANCH as AiB in NYC in 1999 It is currently based in Los Angeles, which Juan runs as MM and in Barcelona, which Roger runs as AIB SL.
While MM has always defined itself as an critically-rooted architecture firm, it has concerned itself with multi-platform projects that have ventured into the media and media arts terrain, notably with documentary film projects as well as media installations.
As an architecture practice, MM believes that a "fog bank urbanism" has finally settled, and MM's problematizations are a direct assault on such condition, mainly as a way to generate resistance and traction.
