Project Brief: The summer house sits on a gradually sloping beachfront property in the design forward town of Jose Ignacio, Uruguay. An awkward "J" parti is mined by conjuring up three material systems made to behave against their will. Natural stone is dealt lightness, native wood is dealt cold and poured concrete is made mundane and minimally ductile.

Programatically, the house is a modified gallery house, usually found in the farms of Argentina. It is also off-the-grid through solar paneling and it recirculates its own water collection.
